The Dobyns Champion Extreme HP Spinning Rods are an updated version of the original extreme series of bass fishing rods that established the Dobyns name among the top of the market. Never satisfied with the status quo, the team at Dobyns Rods sought to improve upon their premium Champion Extreme Spinning series by redesigning the rods one component at a time. New to the HP series comes changes both cosmetic and functional. First and foremost, the new rods are constructed using a new blank mixture that incorporates Toray carbon fiber strands. Toray, a Japanese nanotechnology company, is the leader in woven carbon fiber technology engineering materials that are strong, light and durable. Due to these characteristics, their woven carbon fiber is the ideal material for rod building as it affords great strength with less weight. As a result of inconsistent quality of high-density cork, Dobyns elected to use AAA grade portugal cork for their rod handles. This material maintains the same feel and look, but delivers more consistent quality that can be seen on every rod. Additionally, the Champion Extreme HP Spinning series opts for Fuji guides in place of the previous Kigan models. Finally, aesthetically, the updated series does away with the painted blanks in favor of more toned down, flat black colors.

Great Addition to Collection
Love this pole for ned, neko, wacky and finesse in general rigs. Was going to spend a little more for a G-Loomis but I tried my friends Dobyn and I loved it. Fun setup with a ci4.
