This hard-bodied trolling lure has a tantalizing roll when used in many different trolling applications. It has a perfect rolling action when trolled behind a flasher, a paddle, or on it's own. The Herring Cutbait is extremely versatile and can be run behind a cannonball, dipsy or down-rigger to cover the complete water column from top to bottom. Though-wire construction means this lure can stand up to the abuse of hard running species like salmon, halibut, trout, and walleye. All lures are UV coated with a very detailed finish, some featuring glow paint for maximum attraction in deep or low light conditions. Rigging is included with a strong mono leader and multiple bearing swivel, as well as a high quality treble hook and single siwash hook.
Tips:
- Scent can be applied to the sides of this bait, and will trigger more bites on tough days.
- Adjust trolling speed based on target species. Trolling slower will be most effective for halibut, and faster speeds will work better for salmon, walleye, and trout.
- Fish the Herring Cutbait the same way you would use a spoon, whole anchovy or herring, or any other trolling lure.
