The Sweet Beaver from Reaction Innovations is a soft plastic bait that is responsible for the creation of the beaver style category of baits. Introduced by Beaver Lake master Andre Moore, the Sweet Beaver first hit the market after Moore won two FLW Tour events on Beaver Lake in Arkansas. Subsequently, the Sweet Beaver has its name. Since then its continued to produce results all over the country and spawned numerous similar baits and even its own category of soft plastic baits; Beaver baits. The Sweet Beaver is 4.2" long and matches the look and profile of many types of forage that bass feed on. The Beaver can be used to mimic a crayfish, bluegill, or baby bass - certainly there are even more. The Sweet Beaver comes in several "unique" color patterns so be sure to take a look at all of the different products, we carry approximately 40 colors. Each color has proven to be successful in the right situation. The Sweet Beaver is 4.2" long and comes 10 per pack.

The punching technique is among the most popular uses for the Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver due to the compact nature of the bait that enables it to easily slide into heavy vegetation. Additionally, the bait's solid plastic body is just the right size for efficiently rigging a stout straight shank flipping hook in a weedless manner without sacrificing hook penetration. When fishing the bait in this manner most anglers turn to the following setup:

  • Rod: 7'6" Flipping Stick
  • Line: 65-80lb Braid
  • Hook: 3/0 or 4/0 Straight Shank Flipping Hook
  • Weight: 1-1.5oz Tungsten
  • Weight Peg: 2-3 Bobber Stops or Punching Stops
