The River2Sea New Jack Flippin' Hook is a straight shank flipping hook designed by Bassmaster Elite Series angler Ish Monore. River2Sea has worked extensively with Ish Monroe in the past to create a number of very productive lures including the wildly popular Biggie Crankaits and Bling Spinnerbaits. Their newest collaboration, the New Jack Flippin Hook, may be their finest yet. Ish knows flipping. Ish knows heavy weights. Ish knows big bass. With his wealth of knowledge working with different flipping and punching setups, Monroe saw the need for a new alternative to the numerous brands of similar straight shank flipping hooks. It's obvious that flipping hooks need to be strong, but other than that the hooks currently available sure couldn't boast much more. Ish Monroe took that one necessary trait of strength and built upon it to create a hook that is both strong, and protects the line from damage due to heavy tungsten weights crashing on the knot at the line tie repeatedly. Monroe's New Jack Flippin' Hook is a new concept in Flippin' hooks that incorporates the line tie and the soft plastics keeper into one position. This modification allows anglers to tie virtually any knot they prefer, yet still get the fulcrum effect of the Snell knot.
Made of River2Sea's Double Strong wire, Ish Monroe's New Jack Flippin' Hook is available in sizes 3/0, 4/0, 5/0 and 6/0 and will hold up to heavy hooksets and heavy tackle.
How the New Jack Hook Works
Thanks to the welded line tie on the shank of the hook, the New Jack Flippin' Hook allows the angler to run their line through the top line tie, then tie most popular knots to the second eye, and the motion of a hookset allows the tungsten weight and the hook to pop up and drive the hook point home.
