The Vision 110 Jr. Jerkbait is scaled down to 3.85", compared to the original at 4 1/3", which is about a 1/2" shorter creating the ideal choice when attempting to mimic smaller forage species. The Jr. possesses the same tungsten multi-way moving balancer system that makes the lure cast like a bullet and produces a fish attracting noise. Anglers will be pleasantly surprised by just how well such a small jerkbait will cast. How to Fish the Vision 110 Jr. Jerkbait
During the colder months this bait excels using the standard jerkbait presentation: The cadence of two rips of the rod - short pause - single rip - long pause of up to 30 seconds. When the water temperatures drop below 70 degrees, the Vision 110 Jr. jerkbait becomes deadly. With many color options available it is best to match the color with water clarity: The clearer the water is the more translucent the color pattern jerkbait.
For the warmer months this bait can make an excellent sub-surface topwater option. Often bass will be tentative to commit to a bait fished on top of the surface, but one that is fished right below the surface can coax the fish into striking. When fishing the lure in this manner it is recommended to use 15lb fluorocarbon. The optimal cadence will be much quicker due to the increased metabolism as a result of a warmer water temperature.
The Megabass Vision 110 Jr. Jerkbait is best fished on a light power, fast action rod that has a very soft tip. When choosing line size consider the depth you wish to reach; line size dictates the depth the lure will dive to. The bait works optimally when fished with 6-15 lb test. You can expect a maximum diving depth of about 6 feet. Some anglers do choose to add suspend strips to the hook shanks in order to increase diving depth and you will notice the action changes from a suspend to a slow horizontal fall.
