Designed with big bait bass fishermen in mind, the new Okuma Guide Select A Series Swimbait Rods provide anglers with the right tool for chucking the oversized lures. Okuma's original Guide Select swimbait rods became an instant hit with anglers for both their function and price. For most swimbait fishermen, the Guide Select rods proved that there were still tackle companies listening to the needs of customers. Now, many years later, technology has advanced dramatically and it became time for Okuma to re-imagine their Guide Select Swimbait Rods with the all new A Series.
The Okuma Guide Select A Series is comprised of three 7'11" swimbait rods encompassing the entire spectrum of swimbait weights and featuring tapers that afford more control over the lifelike lure. The blanks remain IM-8 graphite construction with the same Evo Graph 1K woven carbon reinforcement ensuring they will drive the hook home and haul in whatever monster ends up on the end of your line. New to the updated Guide Select Swimbait Rods is Okuma's UFR: Unidirectional Fiber Reinforcement in tip which affords more strength in the tip section without sacrificing the rod's precise taper.
Components on the rod include premium Fuji K-concept guides and Alconite inserts which can withstand the demands of braided line and improve casting distance as a result. Fuji reel seets are positioned between EVA grips with a split butt handle design that lowers weight and provides the right grip points for launching big baits. Stainless steel hook keepers are a nice added touch as well. The Guide Select A Series swimbait rods are covered by Okuma's 1 year warranty.
