Super Mutu Saltwater Circle Hook
The Owner Super Mutu Hook is a circle hook designed for very large bait applications when targeting the largest fish the sea has to offer. Big Tuna fishermen in southern California and Baja turn to this hook almost exclusively. Most commonly used for saltwater live bait fishing, the Mutu circle hook is designed to allow natural, free swimming action by the attached live bait. The hook is extremely strong, in fact many consider it to be unbreakable, a characteristic that comes in handy when targeting - Tuna, Billfish, Sturgeon and Tarpon. Perhaps the most renowned feature of the Owner Mutu hook is the hangnail style of hook point. The unique hook point is designed to slide out of the gullet of the fish and penetrate the corner of the mouth upon hookset. The result is less gut hooked fish for more sustainable catch and release; Mutu's have a 90% jaw-hooked rate. Check out the video for more information regarding Owner's circle hooks.
