The Thomas Buoyant is a spinning spoon lure commonly used when targeting trout and salmon. First produced over 60 years ago, the Buoyant remains one of the most popular lures for many species due to its universal appeal among many species of fish. That popularity is due in large part to the lures erratic side to side wobbling action designed to mimic the natural darting action of fleeing baitfish as predators close in on their meal. As if the action wasn't enough, Thomas Lures has always insisted on a high quality, baked-on enamel finish, comparable to jewelry finishes, that greatly enhances the lure's attraction. The Thomas Buoyant achieves the most action and performs best with a fairly slow retrieve when cast, and a similarly slow speed when trolled - when casting the Buoyant a few quick twitches of the rod's tip can produce some extremely aggressive strikes. We offer the Thomas Lures Buoyant Spoon in the 101 size which measures 1 1/2" and weighs 1/6oz in many colors.
