The Gamakatsu Round Bend Worm Hook is a straight shank, round bend hook that is intended to be used when fishing soft plastic worms. The Round Bend Worm Hook is an excellent choice when fishing texas-rigged soft plastic baits. Some anglers prefer the straight shank style hooks for worm fishing while others choose a wide gap offset hook. In most cases, the straight shank will provide a better hook up ratio when fishing a plastic worm using the Texas Rig technique. For bigger, bulkier soft plastics the offset hooks seem to be the better choice. Anglers can easily add a small piece of heat shrink tube and create a small keeper that will hold the soft plastic in place and increase the durability of the bait.
