The Phenix Rods Abyss Series Spinning is a complete line of saltwater spinning rods engineered to meet the demands of saltwater applications. The spinning models of the Abyss Series includes three rods all of which are 8ft in length designed for live bait and surface jig saltwater fishing applications. West Coast saltwater anglers, the Abyss series is designed with you in mind! Constructed with Toray Graphite/S-Glass composites, the Abyss spinning rods are perfect for the West Coast style of surface irons and live bait fishing. Traditionally, rod blanks of similar actions tend to be much heavier and have a wider base diameter, which often leads to casting fatigue. The Abyss Series utilizes the ideal strength-to-weight balance, yet ensuring superior lifting power. No other rod can compare to the look, feel, and optimum performance of the Abyss series.
The rod grip color is not uniform, it varies from rod to rod. We have spoken to Phenix Rods who acknowledged the non-predictable grip colors. At this time they have no plans to make the grip colors standard as the individual who wraps the rods prefers the artistic freedom to pick and choose as he is inspired.
We offer the Phenix Rods Abyss Series Spinning in all three models. Please see the chart below for detailed specs on each.
- Toray graphite/S-Glass composites
