The Sep's Simply Trolling Device is the original patented downrigger release carrier for use with your "hand-crank" downrigger. Using the Simply Trolling Device is easy - First, you simply lower your downrigger weight to the desired fishing depth. Then, cast your lure to the desired trolling distance and run the line through the Sep's Sure Release mechanism. Finally, lower your Simply Trolling device down to the surface of water, maintaining slight tension on fishing line and allow Simply Trolling to travel down the cable until it reaches the downrigger weight. When tension is removed by a fish strike or manual trip, the force of water gets underneath the Simply Trolling device and pushes the unit back up to the surface. With the Sep's Simply Trolling Device, you can now attach fishing line and send it back down without ever having to raise your downrigger weight!
